Mr . Pumpkin Head
John and I have been married for 9+ years and we have planted our own pumpkins for at least 8 of those years. We usually plant seeds in May or June and have 3 or 4 good plants with a few nice pumpkins by mid-October. This was a strange year. Maybe it was the heat, the lack of water, planting the seeds too late, or the hilly terrain in our yard, but none of our pumpkins are as big as a basketball and none of them are orange (did you know that there is not a single word in the dictionary that rhymes with the word orange?). In spite of the unusual events surrounding the pumpkin selection this year, we initiated Wyatt in his first pumpkin carving ever with a green pumpkin. He carved and decorated his pumpkin like he has been training for this his whole life! It was like watching Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel! It was like watching a duck swim for the first time! Well, it was like playing Mr. Potato Head…..kinda like we do every day!

THE best pumpkin decoration ever. The look on Wyatt's face is priceless. Also priceless is the look on John's face. Thanks for having pictures of both Mom and Dad this week. Love, Mumsie
Gotta love that!! I think he looks betterh green. We only get green pumpkins in australia; so Wyatt will never know the difference, that is if he were living in australia.
Also you will be pleased to hear Barb Marriage is coming to visit me, that's right in brisbane, in two weeks!! I am very excited and looking forward to seeing her. She is here for a nutrition meeting
Hope you are all well
love Maree
