Fingers Crossed

I headed out with all of the kids, the triple wagon, and the dog today in pouring rain to take everyone for a walk at a park that was 15 minutes away. It was a risky move to say the least, but you would have had to walk a mile in my shoes today to understand why this risk was worth taking. Wyatt did not nap AT ALL today and Jonah slept for a total of about 40 minutes all day. Even with naps these two boys are about as intense as they come, but factor in tired and we are talking sheer insanity. Put them in a room with a terror suspect who is withholding information
and Wyatt and Jonah could get them talking within 5 minutes or less. Is there a word for whining x eleventy billion? It was that bad! The rain on the windshield was load enough that I could pretend that I couldn't hear Wyatt yelling..."Turn on Wheels...Turn on Wheels.....Wyatt's water......Wyatt's water.....Turn on Wheels......Turn on Wheels...Turn on Wheels.....Wyatt's water......Wyatt's water.....Turn on Wheels......No Jonahhhhhh.........No Jonahhhhhhhh........Turn on Wheels...Turn on Wheels.....Wyatt's water......Wyatt's water.....Turn on Wheels......" But the rain stopped as soon as I got to the park and we all went on a LONG walk. The boys seemed to forget their plan to whine incessantly until I lost my marbles and we enjoyed the walk in spite of the 40+ mile per hour gusts! We got home just as John was pulling in the garage from work! We made it through another no-nap day! Mission accomplished!
