Bedtime Buddies

Jonah and Samuel have always shared a bedroom. They are both really light sleepers, but they have never had any trouble sleeping through each other crying, shouting, or banging. If John or I walk into their bedroom they will both stir in their sleep and sometimes even wake up at the slightest noise or light coming in from the hall. They are obviously accustomed to each others sounds and I have started to wonder if either one would fall asleep if the other were not in the bedroom? Sometimes one boy will wake up before the other and I can remove them before they wake up their brother, but they have never fallen asleep alone in their bedroom without their twin. This weekend we talked to Wyatt about baby #4. We asked him if he wanted to have a new baby and he said yes. Specifically he said "Yeah, let's go get one right now!" I said that we were going to wait a few weeks. Later Wyatt told John and I that he wants the new baby to sleep in his bed with him! Of course we told him that the new baby (which he correctly assumed would be a boy...big surprise) would be too little to sleep with him, but he has been constantly talking about sharing his bed with the new baby. It makes me wonder if he is a little jealous of Jonah and Sammy sharing a bedroom?!?!? Maybe in a few years Wyatt and baby #4 really will want to share a bedroom...how cute would that be?
